Memory of Plants / Pflanzengedächtnis 2008

The nasturtium is a robust plant and is characterized by its fast growth. Using watercolors, I documented the changes in individual features of the plants while they grew in my studio from late August to early December 2008; each day, I painted over the previous day’s recorded condition.
Each watercolor portrays a time span of ten to twenty days.
