NANAÉ SUZUKI

On Stage / In Szene 2009
C-Prints and Digital Fine Art Prints

Dimensions variable The rendering of altered perception through a change of perspective is a central element of Nanaé Suzuki's work. In this process, her gaze orients itself both on spaces and on existing images, all of which, like vision itself, are constructed. For her photographic work “In Szene” she arranges withered nasturtium blossoms. Without any manipulation of the medium they appear like dancing beings. Instead of focusing on time and its usual association with death and transience, she orients the gaze on the staging of other possibilities for observation and meaning.
